Internship in Non-Profit Management

To complete the application process, follow the below instructions to submit an

Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 the following:

1.
Essay.  In no more than 700 words, please describe your career goals, interests,
reasons for applying to the internship and how your participation would reflect
commitment to non-profit leadership
2.
Current resume.  Include paid and volunteer positions, special skills, honors and
awards, campus activities and community activities.
3.
Letter of recommendation.  Recommendation should come from a faculty
member or professional supervisor who has directly evaluated your performance.

The student candidate must:
  • Be in graduate program and must be interested in non-profit leadership.
  • Be recommended by faculty member of the student's univerity or college.
  • Exhibit a grade point average of B or higher or a substitution indicating above average standing.
  • Complete an application including a writing sample.
  • Participation in an orientation.
  • Be able to commit the time needed for the internship.
While the internship is geared toward those with a strong interest in non-profit leadership, applications are
welcomed from students in any graduate program.  Eligibilty is not limited to any particular discipline.
The internship program will be placing students at one of the participating organizations each fall and winter.
Students will additionally be exposed to one week in an affiliate organization to observe similarities and
variances between non-profit agencies.
An interview may be required and proper clearances must be obtained.
